Implementation & Rollout

How Versatile Edge Is Implemented, Adapted, and Managed

Versatile Edge is delivered as a managed service. We work with your operational team—and IT where needed—to understand the operation, adapt the software to your requirements, build any additional capabilities needed, create integrations, validate the solution, manage deployment, and continue adapting the software after go-live.
Change Is Built Into the Platform

Adapting the Software Is Part of the Service

Versatile Edge is designed so that adapting the software is part of the service—not a new project every time your operation changes. We manage those changes for you, using the same true no-code operational software platform on which your applications already run.

Software that can keep changing with your business—quickly, economically, and without disrupting the operation.

Changes can be made quickly and cost-effectively.
Many operational changes can be completed in hours or days. Simpler changes may be made even faster.
Many changes can be made live with your users.
We can review a workflow, screen, rule, or report together, make the change, and let users review the result immediately.
The system can keep running while changes are made.
Many changes do not require taking the application offline, recompiling software, uploading a new build, or restarting the system.
Ongoing change stays manageable.
Because changes do not create an accumulating application-code base, repeated adaptation does not progressively make the software harder or more expensive to maintain.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MANAGE THE TECHNOLOGY
Versatile Edge builds, adapts, integrates, deploys, and supports the software while your team focuses on the operation.
From Understanding the

Process to Go-Live

Our structured process provides a clear path from understanding your needs to successfully going live.

Start With the Process, Not the Software

We begin by understanding what the operation needs to accomplish. We review the workflows, roles, rules, screens, approvals, exceptions, reports, integrations, systems, and differences between products or locations.
We ensure the software adapts to your needs, not the other way around.

Existing Applications Are a Starting Point—Not a Limit

Versatile Edge applications are not limited to predefined configuration options. If an application does not already do something you need, we can add it—workflows, rules, screens, data, reports, or actions—on the same true no-code platform.

We Build the Integrations for You

Versatile Edge includes built-in no-code tools for creating APIs and integrations with the systems, equipment, and data sources your operation uses—ERP, MES, WMS, LIMS, RFID, IoT, and more.

Build, Review, Change—In Real Time

We review the application with the people who use and manage the process. Users can review a workflow, screen, rule, or report with us and often see the revision immediately—build, review, change, review again.

We Manage the Deployment

Once validated, Versatile Edge manages deployment and supports the transition into live operation on the managed platform. Go-live does not lock the software in place.

Standardize What Should Be Common. Adapt What Needs to Differ.

If you have multiple sites, your processes do not have to be identical at every location. We identify the workflows, controls, security, integrations, reporting, and other capabilities that should be common across the organization while preserving the processes, terminology, equipment, products, rules, permissions, and operating requirements that need to differ by site.

An initial group of representative locations can establish what should be standardized and what should remain site-specific before broader rollout.

Standardize what should be common. Adapt what needs to differ by site.
Reuse Across Sites and Applications

Build on What Already Exists

Application capabilities can be designated as reusable objects when appropriate. That can include workflows, rules, screens, integrations, reports, security, data structures, and complete application capabilities.

Reusable objects can then be incorporated into additional sites or new applications.

Through polymorphism, a workflow can work with a common Action whether that action is a timer, alert, approval, quality check, equipment command, or a new action type added later—without redesigning the workflow.

Work completed for one requirement can become part of the foundation for the next.
Centralized Platform Updates

Update Once Instead of Maintaining Every Application Separately

Security updates, platform improvements, and common capabilities are managed centrally at the Versatile Edge platform level. If a customer operates 10 Versatile Edge applications, a common platform security update can be made once rather than implemented and maintained separately in all 10 applications.

The same approach applies across multiple sites. Common platform updates can be delivered centrally without creating separate upgrade projects for every application or location.

One managed platform. One place to maintain and improve it.

Talk to Us About Your Implementation

Whether the requirement is one application at one location or a broader multi-site rollout, we can show how Versatile Edge can be adapted around your operation, integrated with your existing environment, deployed, and continuously managed after go-live.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since 1966, when designers at Letraset and James Mosley, the librarian at St Bride Printing Library in London, took a 1914 Cicero translation and scrambled it to make dummy text for Letraset’s Body Type sheets. It has survived not only many decades, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised thanks to these sheets and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker and Microsoft Word including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
