A metadata architecture that eliminates application code

Every Versatile Edge application is defined by metadata that describes its data structures, screens, workflows, rules, permissions, integrations, reports, and behavior.
The platform executes that metadata directly. It does not write or generate a separate body of application code for each customer or application.

This means changes are made by updating the application model rather than rewriting,
rebuilding, and redeploying software. Workflows, screens, rules, integrations, permissions,

Any of these capabilities can be designated as a reusable object when appropriate. Reusable objects can then be incorporated into additional applications or sites and adapted to the new requirement rather than created again.
RFID Process Control demonstrates this approach. Existing capabilities for user management, role-based security, workflow, audit trails, reporting, notifications, API integration, and other common functions were reused rather than rebuilt. Only the RFID-specific capabilities needed to be added.
Those new RFID capabilities can now become reusable building blocks for applications such as Bakery Receiving, Bakery Dispatch, and other operational software.
